Clemson University's CCIT Customer Support Services Department is looking for a Systems Programmer/Developer II to fulfill the following duties:
Serves as an information technology consultant for Clemson University locations in and around the Greenville, SC area.
This consultant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while addressing the computer hardware and software support needs of faculty, staff and students.
Additional requirements include support of classroom technology and video conferencing systems as well as other duties as assigned.
50% - Essential - TECHNICAL SUPPORT - Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students for both Apple and PC hardware, software, peripherals and mobile devices. Duties include but are not limited to: imaging and new computer setup, software installation, software / hardware troubleshooting and consultation. Consult with management and others regarding recommendations of hardware and software upgrades.
20% - Essential - TIER 1 CLASSROOM SUPPORT - Serve as the initial support contact for classroom technology and video conferencing systems. Conducts recurring classroom checks to verify equipment functionality while working closely with tier-2 support to identify and repair any problems. Provides assistance to faculty with the use of this technology. Must be able to multi-task and manage several concurrent projects to completion. Previous experience with Cisco VTC hardware and Crestron control system hardware is preferable but not required.
15% - Essential - TRAINING - Provide detailed training, documentation, and operation guidelines to staff and students regarding troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software. Skills must include installation, configuration, troubleshooting and use of standard software packages including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Docs, Zoom, and Cisco Webex.
15% - Essential - STATEWIDE SUPPORT - Provide technical support for other Clemson locations in the area as needed.
