Viking Engineering provides holistic well engineering for oil and gas industry. Our mission is to provide our clients with comprehensive, cost effective well planning and design for the most difficult oil and gas wells.
VIKING Engineering is actively pursuing an individual to fill a need in the Well Integrity Group.
Administering (tracking) an active failure investigation program
Drafting failure investigation protocols and cost estimates
Following up with clients regarding project details and providing status updates
Drafting failure investigation reports
Interfacing with clients regarding time and cost estimates
Participating in elementary well design as an aid to current staff
Coordinating testing and material evaluations with testing labs
Interact with metallurgists and testing labs to include their findings in report drafts
Support VIKING metallurgists with occasional trips to lab as necessary
Experience and Education
College degree (Bachelor) in Petroleum or Mechanical /engineering
Three to seven years oil field experience in the areas of drilling, completions and workovers
Major operator background ideal (i.e. BP, Shell, Hess, Anadarko, Exxon, etc.)
Proficient in Excel and Word. Specialty software training will be provided
Willingness to be trained to do routine well design
Personality suitable for customer contact. Positive attitude paramount
