Who we are looking for:
F&R is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer! This position will provide engineering expertise; assisting engineering personnel in implementing geotechnical engineering projects, supporting field crews, performing and/or reviewing laboratory test results and other related engineering activities.
What you will be doing:
Including, but not limited to:
Perform geotechnical engineering analysis and calculations for commercial and industrial projects
Field logging and managing drilling program for variety of projects
Review test results and make recommendations
Preparation of soil reports and proposals
Perform various other geotechnical engineering tasks
What you need to have:
BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering; Master’s degree preferred
5+ years previous experience in related areas (geotechnical engineering, CMT, etc)
Must be knowledgeable of site work and earthwork construction techniques
Must be detail oriented
Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written
Ability to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, and within a team environment to achieve goals
Valid driver’s license with good standing driving-record
Some travel will be required
Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
