Pentair currently has an opening for a Product Engineer to join our team at our Delavan, WI location. In this role, the Product Engineer will work with a cross-functional team to design and implement ideas using CAD models, drawings, product cost estimates, material and product standards, bill of materials, prototyping, and testing of products.

Assist in new product development, product line expansions, product enhancement, overall cost improvements and existing product maintenance.
Assist in cost reduction of existing products through part design, material selection, and process improvements.
Support production operations as required through processing engineering change request, deviations, and manufacturing issues.
Meet with vendors when needed to review all related product issues, materials, and costs.
Have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, mechanical engineering preferred
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience
Participated in product design and development
Have the ability to work within and meet aggressive deadlines.
Be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Possess strong problem solving and organizational skills.
Have the ability to work well with a cross-functional team.
Have the ability to work with international teams.
We like, but don’t require:
Experience/knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, or water treatment.
Computer skills including a proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of engineering calculation tools (MathCad, Matlab and/or similar).
Knowledge of SAP business systems.
Knowledge of CAD programs including SolidWorks.
Experience with finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics.
Some domestic and international travel required.
