SHYFT is searching for a qualified registered Project Architect to assist clients, colleagues, and consultants in our quest for design excellence. The Project Architect will lead all design and architectural efforts for projects and work directly with the Director of Architecture, designers, and our other integrated services to ensure an appropriate designed and built solution. She/He are responsible for carrying out complex design assignments requiring development of new or improved techniques of design/construction. Work experience can be expected to include the following tasks:


  • Serves as the lead Project Architect on multiple projects as the design liaison on all design elements and ideally through construction
  • Perform internal controls for teams assigned to projects by supervising a project team in the design document & construction process
  • Coordinate with colleagues, clients & consultants for quality assurance and quality control checks
  • May act in a team lead capacity for integrated project delivery or traditional design services
  • Applies diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices on a broad array of assignments
  • Independently makes decisions on significant architectural design problems and methods, communicates those internally/externally
  • Demonstrates a proactive focus on client interaction and service through an efficient and effective use of resources
  • Communicates project decisions and documents correspondence

  • An accredited undergraduate degree or master’s degree in Architecture with a preference for 5+ years’ experience
  • Demonstrates strong design abilities in drawing, rendering and/or technical documentation
  • Ability to understand and work within project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Superior verbal & written communication skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities is imperative
  • Experience using Revit as a design and document tool is required; Adobe Create Suite and other 3D visualization tools are preferred

As a creative culture, individuals are encouraged to work within our flexible work hours and environments. Potential local, regional, and national travel could be expected. You should be prepared to occasionally lose with ‘dignity’ to current staff in Fantasy Football and open to potential early happy hours to enjoy your colleagues’ company.
