We are currently looking for Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about robotics, iterative design, and prototyping. The ideal candidate can start as early as October 2020. You will work on a team of mechanical engineers producing extremely high-quality hardware on groundbreaking robots going out into the world. Day to day activities:
Collaborate with other engineers to dream up, design, and develop prototype robots to achieve design targets
Contribute new concepts to projects and analyze trade-offs in design while evaluating constraints from multiple disciplines (electrical design, manufacturing, business needs)
Create CAD models, drawings, and specifications for parts and assemblies
Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, design and implement corrective and preventative solutions.
BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
Strong CATIA user or equivalent (NX, Solidworks, etc.)
Strong experience in mechanism design, electro-mechanical actuators, sensors, or test stand design
First principles approach to problem solving
Experience in prototyping and hands on development
Trade studies and system design/analysis
Finite element analysis, design optimization
Data collection and analysis
Mass production of electromechanical assemblies [DFM, DFA]
Programming (C++, Python)
