ELTA North America (ELTA NA) is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and support of innovative electronic systems for the United States government. ELTA NA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineer I.
This is a new and challenging position that will play a key role in a fast-growing start-up. As a subject-matter expert on Company offerings, product, and projects, the Engineer I will assist the sales department in qualifying a customer, gathering customer requirements, demonstrating and answering all technical and performance questions related to the product to the satisfaction of the customer. This position will use information from customer interactions to provide critical input to company leadership on the strategic direction of the product line.
Demonstrate products and provide general pre-sales support to the sales team.
Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations.
Build rapport with government and military customers through creative presentation methods.
Partner with the business development team to generate opportunities.
Support the sales team and sales operations to drive opportunities, demonstrate the product, train customers and sales team.
Ensure proper exchange of information between the business development and engineering teams and the customer.
Candidate must document U.S. Citizenship to be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Successful candidates must have an operational background in military or governmental organizations.
Technical background in operating communication and tactical systems in a military or government environment is an advantage.
Excellent presentation skills.
Ability to handle demonstrations and logistics by setting up equipment in the field and operating the system and presenting its value to customers and partners.
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position to include the ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
