The Manufacturing Computer Engineer works on an interdisciplinary engineering team to design, implement, and validate cost-effective methods of configuring and testing products, systems, and equipment. More specifically, this position will focus on the manufacture and test of electricity metering products.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and implement configuration/test methods for the manufacturing of products.
Develop and maintain Custom C# and C++ software applications which control manufacturing processes.
Maintain databases (such as MS-SQL) to support manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain test fixtures and associated controls hardware.
Optimize manufacturing processes by monitoring existing streams of data, understanding what makes an ideal process, and learning when to respond when processes fall out of standards.
Continuous improvement of quality, cycle time, and reliability of production equipment through hardware and/or software modifications.
Documentation of processes, equipment, and products as needed.
Project leadership and management opportunities may be assigned in accordance with departmental needs.
Experience: 0-2 Years
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Required
Ability to code in C# and C++
Understanding of electrical circuit design
Knowledge of hardware and software integration
Experience with databases (i.e. MS-SQL)
Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams
Professional workplace communication skills
