Come work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world class Electro- Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). You will be responsible for the design solutions that support the Organization. As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of EGSE. Job responsibilities include:

  • Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.
  • Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.
  • Collaborate with program leadership, domain experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.
  • Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.
  • Supports production meetings and manufacturing and test anomaly / discrepancy resolution
  • Provides weekly / monthly status and regularly present to peers / leadership.
The ideal candidate will have good communications skills (both oral and written) and a strong background in Mechanical Engineering processes. A willingness to travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:Qualified candidate will have or be able to:
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials, and analysis.
  • Mechanical design and/or manufacturing experience that includes the use of interpretation of engineering design drawings.
  • Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, etc.) and model based product definition.
Desired Skills:Desirable candidate will have or be able to:
  • Experience working with teams on cross-level projects/multidisciplinary product development teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.
  • Manufacturing, assembly, and design experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations applicable to mechanical and structural systems.
  • Working Knowledge of EPDM.
  • Experience modeling and drafting in Creo.
  • Knowledge of LM Space command media.
  • Knowledge of basic electronics.
