We currently have an opportunity for a Summer Intern- Environmental Engineering, Geologist, Environmental Scientist in our Los Angeles, CA office.
May participate in a broad variety of environmental engineering assignments including soil, soil gas, and groundwater investigations and remediation; feasibility study development and analysis; remedy design; remedy implementation; operation, maintenance, and monitoring.
Prepare environmental permits.
Prepare work plans and proposals.
Perform calculations and engineering evaluations.
Interpret, manage, and present data.
Prepare reports, conceptual designs, and detailed construction plans and specifications.
Support other environmental engineering tasks such as the development of Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP), and Response Activity Plans.
Must demonstrate course work completion toward a targeted Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in environmental engineering or other engineering/science degree with environmental focus.
0 - 1 years of environmental consulting experience preferred.
Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
Fluency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) is mandatory.
Experience with other civil and environmental engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required.
Must possess solid technical and problem-solving skills
Must have a valid driver's license.
Candidates possessing a 40-hour HAZWOPR health and safety training certificate or an up-to-date 8-hr annual refresher course certification are preferred.
