Solaris-MCI is a growing upstream engineering, procurement, and construction management company servicing the oil & gas and petroleum industries. Solaris-MCI specializes in the design of gas plants, compression facilities, metering stations, and pipeline laterals. We are currently seeking a Junior Piping Drafter. As an integral member of the team, you will have a responsibility to liaise with our clients, as well as our internal engineers and other technical staff to ensure excellent project planning and execution. You will also have the opportunity to oversee resources and handle multiple projects. Your pride in ensuring that technical accuracy is achieved and that project objectives are met will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.

Responsibilities:
Assist other engineers in executing engineering tasks and work in accordance with established engineering practices and drafting protocols
Produces a variety of project drawings including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), System Schematics, Plot Plans, Piping Orthographics and Isometrics as per engineers’ markups or senior designers’ directions
Interprets and carries out creative ideas proposed by other engineers or designers
May require to assist other designers or engineers on field assignments

Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education with a technical diploma in Drafting/CADD
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
Open-minded with the ability to follow instructions
Ability to complete assigned tasks and use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with computer aided design and drafting (CADD) equipment
Proficient with MS Office and AutoCad required
