GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist in the Oshkosh, WI area.
This is a UC (unified communications) and AV support role. This person will be internal customer facing - working with all levels of the organization to support conferencing and collaboration technologies on both the front and back end. This individual will primarily deal with AV/UC technology as a frontline support specialist, working with end-users to bring a world-class user experience to our employees. They will also have exposure to the UC engineers on the backend doing basic configuration/adjustments/daily operations. Some of the technology that would be ideal for this person to have exposure to is Cisco collaborative devices, WebEx room kits, Skype, Exchange, and other AV equipment. This person will also help the building ambassador make sure rooms are ready technically for meetings for the day and available to assist if there are questions prior to a meeting starting or even during a meeting if necessary. They have to be proactive and anticipate what people might need prior to a meeting and make sure it's set up and ready to go - as well as providing training to users that are running the meetings. Additionally this role will be working closely with our AV technology vendors to escalate support issues and escort on site as needed.

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the assigned global headquarters collaboration/conferencing technologies and areas.
Serve as a point of contact for end-user support of UC/AV technologies at global headquarters building.
Develop and increase technical knowledge and capabilities through formalized and on-the-job training, investing time to understand team/organization direction and technologies.
Provide knowledge sharing in the form of efforts such as writing knowledge articles, relationship development with other Information Technology (IT) staff, job shadowing, and training activities.
Associate's Degree in technology.
Some experience in Information Technology (PC support, Networking, Data Center, Voice/Telecom, etc.)
Troubleshooting experience with AV/UC technology.
Exposure to Cisco collaborative devices, WebEx room kits, Skype, and Exchange.
Solid troubleshooting skills.
Good communication - will be speaking with end user customers in all levels of the organization.
Initiative and desire to learn valuable IT skills
Vendor management experience.
Conference room setup/support.
Unified Collaboration platform experience (Skype, WebEx, Cisco, Exchange, etc.)
Bachelor's degree, highly preferred.
