Growing, family owned metal stamper and fabricator seeks an EstimatingEngineer. Company offers good benefits, pay, and 1/2 day Fridays.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Estimating Engineer’s responsibilitieswill be to compile information from blueprints, CAD models, and customer’sspecifications in order to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates. Computing costs by analyzing labor, material,outside services, and work-center requirements to build up a comprehensiveestimate.
This position requires a background in metal stamping or metal fabricationand a working knowledge of ProE software. The individual must possess a high level of energy,tenacity, attention to detail, and integrity.
Full-time, 9 hours Monday-Thursday, 4 hours Friday. Overtime may berequired at times. Salary depends on experience and qualifications. Our estimated range is $65,000-$70,000 annually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collect quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Analyze historical company data related to work-center capabilities and capacity
Prepare detailed cost estimates utilizing various software and templates
Ability to plan, hand-off, and delegate awarded new programs as necessary
Assist in communicating project status to customers
Assist in developing and maintaining accurate procedural documents
Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Manufacturing or engineering background in a metal stamping or fabrication facility.
Experience in cost estimating, and cost estimating software. Familiarity with Infor ERP (Syteline), AutoCAD and Lantek laser nesting software would be a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft project.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
