Kiewit Offshore Services in Marystown, NL is seeking a qualified individual for upcoming work in our Quality Department as a Quality Technician.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician is responsible for the collection and entry of all welding/welding quality records.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Maintain welder certification database for structural and piping disciplines
-Maintain database to report weld repair rates by various NDE methods on a weekly basis.
-Assist in completion of weld summary list and verify all weld information is complete as per work package requirements.
-Ensure all project quality control records are filed, maintained and passed over to Project Engineer.
-Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
-Completion of a 2-year diploma program in welding engineering technology from a recognized post-secondary institution
-Exception computer skills - demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access applications is required.
-Current CWB certification to CSA 178.2 would be considered an asset.
