We approach problems with creativity and innovation. Schnabel Engineering South, PC is seeking a Staff Engineer to support our growing business. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of and help support a strong team. The emphasis for this position is broadening practical knowledge and experience as well as applying professional principles to real problems under the supervision of senior engineering personnel. Most projects are related to the evaluation, design and construction of earth and concrete dams.

Job Responsibilities:
Performing engineering calculations
Preparation of reports, plans and specifications
Construction observation and materials testing

Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four year university program
Strong oral and written communications skills
Experience with computer aided structural analysis and finite element analysis
Entry-level applicants and those with up to 36 months of experience will be considered for this position
Positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior professional work or summer intern work in a related field is desirable successful completion of the
E.I./E.I.T. is beneficial
Prior experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Willingness to travel and work in the field is also advantageous
