Evaluate Request for quotes (RFQs) received from customers and determine possibility of product (technical) and delivery (factory and lead time) offering (Go/No-Go). Select product and factory for each RFQ. Provide optimized cost estimate and technical bid: create the product configuration Bill of Material (BOM) in web base product configuration tool (AC1) and upload in SAP offer document and generate cost estimate; if needed, request sourcing for offers for special items; for complex offers, organize specific meeting with other relevant functions to ensure feasibility of offer. Dialogue with the PSS on the competition, target price and resulting margin (CCM). Provide post bid technical clarifications, updated COS (if necessary) to PSS and regularly follow-up on open offers to help updating the factories production planning (S&OP). Provide support to PSS for / perform directly product differentiation and factories qualification activities. Train PSS and KAM on products offering and differentiation. Participate in feedback meetings with Project Manager (lessons learned).
Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s experience in related occupation required. The position also requires: 5 years experience in application engineering, contract engineering or technical sales support with High Voltage Circuit-Breakers products; 3 years experience reading High Voltage Circuit-Breakers customer technical specifications and interpreting them for proposal; 3 years experience interpreting one-line diagrams of electrical sub-stations; 3 years experience interpreting national and international standards for sub-station products; 2 years experience preparing costs estimates; and 1 year experience in Microsoft Office Word & Excel. Fluency in Spanish required. Up to 30% domestic and international travel including South America for training Sales Force, meeting customers for technical presentation and product sales, and participating to conferences.
