ARA’s Test Technology Division is looking for an individual with a background in Geotechnical (Civil) Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geologic Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field. You will be instrumental in characterizing weapon effects against a variety of targets. These tests are critical to develop technologies that safeguard our nation from future threats.
This position will provide a unique job environment, with opportunities for both hands-on field engineering as well as engineering analysis. Testing support is highly varied, and we will provide opportunities to work with technologies related to advanced energetic materials, ground shock, cratering, airblast, structural response, thermal effects, radiation detection, and chem/bio defeat.
We are seeking a team-player with a strong desire to grow their technical expertise. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the Hard Target Mechanics group at TTD. We are a high-performing team with a broad technical background, and are committed to ARA’s core values of Passion, Freedom, Service, and Growth. The candidate should be a self-starter who is motivated to expand their technical knowledge to solve real-world problems. To support this, our team will provide on-the-job training, technical mentoring, and collaboration to help you grow your technical skills to solve problems that matter to national security.
What you’ll do as a Junior Engineer
