This position is for an experienced CNC programmer to provide project-based, contracted programming support. Length of contract will be negotiated based on abilities and availability of the selected candidate.

Individual must have a minimum of 5 years' experience and be capable to efficiently program 3 and 5 axis machines. Applicant must be proficient with Fusion 360 and HyperMill/Open Mind programing software. Individual must be knowledgeable in work holding, fixturing and cutting tool selection and specification. They should have great interest in new technologies and techniques to continuously improve timing and quality of parts being manufactured. The candidate must have great attention to detail and desire to continuously improve processes and procedures already established without sacrificing quality. Successful candidate must be energetic and great team player. Successful applicant must be able to work in high pressure environment with tight deadlines and fluid work schedules.

Essential duties:
Create CNC programs from CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 and other CAD model software.
Create CNC programs from prints that might not have CAD models.
Utilize HyperMill/OpenMind and Fusion 360 software.
Program creation includes, and is not limited to, tool setup instruction, tool library updates as new tools are introduced, along with definition and creation of workholding and fixturing.
Ensure programs meet or exceed targeted machining times to ensure optimum use of capacity.
Use skills in Print Reading, GD&T, Tool Selection, Speeds & Feeds, jigging, and fixturing to create part manufacturing setups.
Set up fixtures and relevant tooling on machine to manufacture components completely.
Work alongside Production Engineer and Operators as jobs are being setup.
Work alongside CMM operator/quality department to ensure parts are manufactured to specified tolerances. Programmer is expected to adjust program as needed through the life of such program.
Work alongside our Engineering team to ensure finish parts meet quality and functionality criteria as expected.
Work alongside Machine Operators to ensure finished parts meet quality and functionality criteria as expected.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
Required Qualifications

Associates Degree in Manufacturing, Programming or Engineering, or equivalent experience
A minimum of five years of recent experience in programming & setup of 3 to 5 axis CNC milling, with turning an advantage
Desired Qualifications

ISO/Quality system experience an advantage.
Experience with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls is preferred
CNC simulation software experience an advantage
Experience with MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word) required
