The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
Operates banding crimping tools, including diagnosis, repair, and processing.
Operates the stretch wrap banders.
Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
Responsible for arranging for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the District or Operations Manager.
Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our customers and suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle.
Good communication skills, since calibration technicians report the results of their tests to engineers, managers, vendors, and customers
Good vision, math skills, and sharp eye-hand coordination
Assist with additional tasks as necessary
Observe all safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and perform all job responsibilities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Strong ability to problem-solve, work on many things simultaneously, and pay attention to details.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Fork Truck experience.
Previous experience in a similar capacity.
Familiar with MS Office including; Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Must have a basic understanding of computers and be able to save files, create documents.

This job operates in an office and shop environment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
10% travel is expected for this position.
