Service Manager/Field Engineer
Skills needed:
- Experience with General AV systems & equipment such as:
- Commercial displays
- ISF certification preferred
- Projectors
- Loudspeakers
- Amplifiers
- Microphones and mic mixers
- Experience with and formal training on DSP Systems such as:
- Biamp
- ClearOne
- QSC
- Symetrix
- Experience with and formal training on Control Systems such as:
- Crestron
- Extron
- AMX
- Experience with and formal training on AV over IP Systems such as:
- AMX/SVSI
- Crestron NVX
- QSC
- Experience with and formal training on IP structure and management
- Experience with and formal training on Systems such as:
- AVB
Attributes needed:
- Must be comfortable and confident in front of clients
- Service contact will often be when the client is stressed since something isn’t working
- Must have excellent trouble-shooting skills and thought processes
- Must be hungry to solve a client’s issues rapidly
- Results in a better client experience
- Results in greater daily efficiency and effectiveness
- Must be able to communicate well with superiors, coworkers and clients
- Must be comfortable selling Service & Maintenance Agreements
- Must be comfortable asking for help quickly when faced with an issue they can’t solve rapidly
- Must be willing and able to communicate with co-workers about equipment or designs that cause problems in the field to avoid using those things in the future
Duties
- Respond to requests for service on a client’s system
- Pro-actively respond to alerts from Remote Management System regarding a client’s systems
- Promote & Sell Service and Maintenance Agreements
- Assist with system testing and commissioning upon installation by SybaTek staff
- Manage returns to manufacturer (RMA) for repair, whether client-owned or SybaTek owned
- Provide responsive and concise service reports to the client and SybaTek personnel upon completion of a service event
- Be responsible for documenting service calls and ensuring that billing is completed and accurate
- Actual Billing is by others
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Technical Services, GM or Senior PM
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year
