Overview
As part of the Marketing team, the Graphic Designer is responsible for design solutions that meet and support marketing strategies from conception to completion; conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork; interprets the needs of the company and designs solutions with high visual impact. This role includes producing print and electronic collateral for marketing including newsletters, website graphics, proposals, advertisements and presentations, as well as developing, growing and maintaining an image database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):
Implementation and oversight of AVCON’s brand both internally and externally.
Ensure graphics and packaging are developed within established marketing schedules.
Use Adobe Creative Suite (CS) and Microsoft Office Suite skills in accordance with proposal requirements, media guidelines and branding directives.
Develop a wide variety of deliverables in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment.
Collaborate with Principals and project managers on proposals, presentations and other marketing materials.
Develop design concepts, marketing materials, advertisements, publications, website assets, etc.
Create, edit, resize, crop, adjust parameters, and convert file formats of bitmap and vector images.
Design and create presentation/interview visual materials; and assist with assembly of handout materials.
Provide support during the assembly of proposal materials, final review, and packaging; provide QA/QC of all proposal graphics.
Maintain an organized, accessible electronic library of digital imagery, videos, and other graphic content that can easily be retrieved, reviewed, and reused.
Reproduction and printing processes through in-house resources or outside vendors.
Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little or no advanced notice.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interactive Design, or a related field, preferred.
3-5 years of corporate and/or agency experience.
Previous marketing or work experience in A/E/C industry, desired.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (CS), including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Video filming, editing, or motion graphics experience, desired.
Proficiency in WordPress, HTML, and CSS, a plus.
Experience in 3D visualization applications (3DS Max, SketchUp, Lumion, InfraWorks 360, etc.), a plus.
Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS

Ability to work independently with little/no supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing.
Effective time management and organizational skills; able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving complex problems, determining program/project objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing strategies for guidance for the development of projects.
Ability to maintain good working relations with AVCON employees at all organizational levels.
Ability to work on multiple assignments/deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervisors; meeting deadlines and working well under pressure.
Executes and prioritizes project tasks efficiently and accurately.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Valid drivers’ license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

ENVIRONMENT

Work usually takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. Site visits may occasionally take place in an outdoor environment.
