Summary of Role:
This role requires an organized individual with strong communication skills. The individual will have responsibilities to characterize signals from all sources (wafer test, kerf test, and inline), define and drive functional yield improvement projects while balancing the business objectives in our Essex Junction, VT location. The focus of the work will be SiGe NPN and HBT Device Engineering. The individual will be responsible for working across multiple teams within and outside of GlobalFoundries and have both direct and indirect communication with customers.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
Production Sustaining: Monitoring electrical performance tends, disposition of holds at electrical test, support general/urgent fab operational issues, analysis for material and change review boards
Candidate will drive yield enhancement for multiple products by analyzing failing electrical parameters and rapidly data mining to investigate root causes and contain excursions and protecting supply. The focus will be GF’s SiGe NPN sector of production
Develop and improve yield characterization and data analysis methodologies to rapidly determine yield limiters, correlation to in-line defectivity, and electrical parametric signals
Support process module engineering activities to improve cost, cycle-time, and manufacturing robustness
Work with external customers as Fab9 focal point for technical interlocks, abnormal product investigations, yield analysis, improvement plans

Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:
B.S. Electrical/Electronics/Physics Engineering
Basic understanding of semiconductor technology, solid state device physics and submicron FET architectures
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment
Aggressive learner and a strong team player, excellent analytical skills, on-time delivery of assigned work
Excellent verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:
Education – Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering (M.S.)
Experience with statistical analysis and data systems
