Raymond Handling Solutions, Handling Systems and Raymond Handling Concepts are a group of dealer/systems integrators specializing in high-density storage, order picking systems and associated services to companies engaged in warehousing and distribution. Our Systems department has grown to over 25% of the company's sales with focus on storage systems, automation solutions and dock equipment. Systems Engineers at the Raymond companies are visionaries. They take challenges and turn them into inventive solutions using their imagination and analytic, complex thinking. The Junior Engineer will train on a variety of equipment used in distribution and warehousing with a focus on conveyors and associated automation. Our Engineers work closely with the Sales team and other Systems staff to oversee design and estimating along with engineering support of our project management team while maintaining Raymond's reputation, integrity and customer-first approach.


v Systems engineering functions supporting our Amazon program.

v Development of CAD drawings to support the sales process and installations.

v When needed, support the project management team with engineering and vendor communications.

v Assist sales with proposal development and pricing

v Work within a teamwork oriented and collaborative environment.

v Ensure quality standards maintained across all areas of responsibility.

v Demonstrate high attention to detail, solid organization and planning skills.

v Occasionally attend conferences, meetings, vendor seminars and training to stay current in the material handling equipment technologies industry and evaluate whether or not new concepts are applicable to our customers.

v Follow departmental and company procedures.


Education and Experience:
v Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study

v or 5+ years industry experience in lieu of degree.

v Proficient with AutoCAD and ability to learn 3D drawing programs such as AutoDesk Inventor.

v Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with ability to develop Excel reports to interpret customer data.

v Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

v Excellent time-management and phone skills

v Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

v Strong and ethical performance history

v Desire and dedication for a long term professional career

v This is typically an office position, but occasionally some travel may be required.

Reasoning Ability & Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply general scientific and business mathematical techniques for engineering and cost estimating. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive an automobile and travel using public transportation including airlines.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The associate is required to use hands to type, handle, or feel objects, tools and computer controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
