We provide technology, training, insights and clinical services that drive alignment and collaboration among healthcare providers, health plans and employers transitioning to value-based care.

Due to growth, we are looking to build out our Implementation Services team and need an Interface Engineer to join our team. The Interface Engineer is expected to have expertise in data integration technologies and domain knowledge in the various healthcare data sets including administrative and clinical datasets.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the Interface Engineer include:
Building data interfaces and data mapping programs to convert customer data formats into the Geneia standard format, establishing best practices for integrating healthcare data sets, supporting the user acceptance process associated with implementation efforts.
Profiling customers administrative, clinical data in order to identify and remediate data quality issues. Creating data validation programs to programmatically evaluate the quality and accuracy of the data submitted by the customer.
Establish and maintain a re-usable library of integration patterns that can be used to ingest industry standard formats for health care administrative and clinical data ( e.g. Hl7, 837 & 835 EDI formats , NCPDP format etc. ) into the Geneia platform.
Participate in the user acceptance stage of the customer onboarding projects and facilitate the customer acceptance of the Geneia solution by addressing any data anomalies identified by the customer.
Assisting the managed services and client relationship management teams in triaging and resolving issues related to customer provided data. Define the best practices for optimizing performance , maintainability and re-usability of the data mapping programs and training junior resources to adopt the best practices.
Qualifications
Skills sets required for this roles include high level of proficiency with the Talend/Python data integration tools, expert level knowledge of Structured Query Language ( SQL) , experience processing large volume data sets and strong foundational knowledge of the Extract Transform and Load (ETL) concepts. Successful candidates will have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form on general subject matter.
5+ years of experience working with Talend or other data integration tools.
5+ years of Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, with experience creating complex data analysis and profiling scripts.
Experience in creating Extract Transform and Loading (ETL) programs leveraging one of more of the following databases Microsoft SQL Server, HP Vertica, Amazon Redshift.
Experience in optimizing ETL program when loading data into the above mentioned databases using Talend.
Demonstrated experience in building ETL components to process large volume data sets.
Experience is optimizing Talend code in AWS ( amazon web services) environment.
Experience in building web services and API’s using Talend for interfacing with third party applications.
Proficient with UNIX shell scripting and file transfer protocols.
Demonstrated experience working in and agile software development environment.
Knowledge of the health care administrative data format – UB and HCFA claim format.
Knowledge of the health care clinical data format – HL7 format.
Knowledge of Health care terminologies – ICD , CPT , HCPS, SNOMED etc.
