We’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Hardware Design Engineer with a background in electrical engineering or computer engineering (or equivalent) to research, design, develop, test, and analyze circuits for our tilt and vacuum measurement product lines. Our tilt measurement line primarily includes electrolytic and MEMS based technology, and related signal conditioning electronics. Our vacuum measurement product line includes thermal conductivity (thermocouple, convection, and Pirani), cold cathode, and hot ion gauge technology, and associated control electronics.

Circuit design, component selection, PCB layout, and circuit analysis proficiency in both digital and analog circuits will be required for designing and troubleshooting electronics used in both new and existing products, along with the development of processes for manufacturing. Firmware and software knowledge would be beneficial but is not required.

The job requires highly detail-oriented technical and analytical thinking with a strong concern for accuracy and quality of work. It also requires a results-oriented focus and the ability to maintain project schedules and deadlines. The position will emphasize complex, independent problem solving, innovation, and self-direction. You will be working with a team of engineers, so proficiency in writing and communication is a must.

Required Skills and Background

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in digital and analog circuit design, development, PCB layout, and analysis
  • Ability to support the full development cycle for circuit design from research and development to test and analysis
  • Proficient in Altium
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of working independently
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills

Additional Skills and Background (Not Required)

  • Knowledge of PADS
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C and Python
  • Knowledge of PLC (Siemens and Rockwell Automation) programming
  • Knowledge of CE and UL test requirements would be advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
