Job Summary:
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project and project budget. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.

Job Description:
Looking for a highly motivated professional with the ability to develop, debug, maintain and test software applications that support Global Information Reporting Business Units. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications on a Mainframe platform.

Role / Responsibilities / Key objectives include but not limited to:

Function within a distributed team model and interact with global team members.
Collaborate with Product, the business, testers, infrastructure, and others to deliver solutions
Participate in requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation of complex applications. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities.
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing tasks on time and within budget
Hold meetings with team, or project members, as necessary.
Create and maintain documentation such as agile stories, design docs, mapping specifications, flow diagrams, technical recovery plans, etc.
Flexibility to work for extended hours and on weekends as needed support implementations, recovery testing and high priority issues.

Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in software design , development & maintaining critical Mainframe applications
In-depth knowledge of COBOL, EZtrieve, JCL, CA7, CICS, DB2, SQL, VSAM, and RACF
Knowledge of message and transmission protocols such as MQ, NDM and sFTP
Knowledge of CICS Webservices
Familiarity with Financial transaction flows & corporate banking DDA, (ACH, Wires, Checks, International)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and follow up
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.

Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other information systems related fields
Knowledge of code pages Unicode and conversion/usage (UTF8, UTF16, etc.)
Experience with Cash Management Services (SWIFT Network, BAI, etc.)
Ability to gain a broad knowledge of the system; triage issues; engage appropriate development resources, provide guidance to production support teams during any issues
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology, Horizon/JIRA, and Kanban
