1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring that scheduled maintenance services for facility equipment are logged properly in the PM system to ensure optimal equipment efficiency. Assists with any projects deemed necessary by the Process Improvement
Engineer utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills along with exceptional organizations skills.
2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Perform 5S and help sustain the program.
2. Assist with development of concepts for process optimization and process automation.
3. Track all PM schedules and ensure communication with key personnel.
4. Assist with development of specifications for new processing equipment.
5. Write and/or update all ELGUA policies and procedures as necessary.
6. Support and lead of technical projects / CAPEX projects
7. Preparation of CAPEX projects and pitching of projects
8. Development of specifications for new processing equipment
9. Other duties as assigned.
3.0 COMPETENCIES
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates degree with appropriate experience may be considered.
2. Industry experience preferred.
3. Strong analytical skills
4. Proficient use of MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Project, MS Visio a plus
5. Hands-on mentality
6. Team player with good communication skills
7. Experience in Elan manufacturing, 5s, Project Management a plus
8. Knowledge in technical drawing
9. Good skills in technical writing
10. PLC programming, Ladder Logic, etc. a plus

1. No direct reports
5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. The employee is required to spend a considerable amount of time in the manufacturing facility and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

6.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. This position operates in an office within a manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be in the production area working on the process functioning. Minimal good physical health required; 20 to 40lbs lifting, ladder climbing, etc. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands for handling; and reach with hands and arms.
7.0 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full time position with a flexible work schedule based on need, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
8.0 TRAVEL
Infrequent, however, employee may need to travel occasionally between the Herkimer NY &
Frankfort NY facilities.
