ROANOKE VA: Seeking an experienced engineer to assist with the growth of a mining and energy business. The company specializes in both surface coal and underground coal mining along with coal preparation facilities. The successful candidate will work with Management, Contractors and Consultants on bonding and releases. Additional components of this job will include engineering design, general problem solving, technical report writing, and project management. Must be willing to relocate to Roanoke, VA.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in mining, civil, geological, or related engineering field. The candidate must have proven interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and project experience. Knowledge of numerical modeling, SURVCADD, AUTOCAD, WORD and EXCEL are required. Virginia Professional Engineers certification is preferred.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on experience and education. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, dental, Short Term disability, holidays, paid leave, and 401K plan,
