We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Engineer I. In this position you will monitors manufacturing processes using SPC controls and actively drive improvements and solving process problems. Train personnel on best practices and monitors personnel to ensure process compliance. Analyze process defects and performs manufacturing equipment process changes to correct defects. Manufacturing equipment includes: SMT and TH equipment such as screen printer, SMT mounter, reflow oven, automated mass solder machine, x-ray, AOI, and selective soldering machines.
What you will do in this position:
Implements new methods that improves flow, reduces cost, and/or improves quality maximizing efficiency using Lean methods and tools.
Creates or updates process Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Trains operators on manufacturing equipment and best practices.
Recommends manufacturing fixtures tools to improve manufacturing process.
Works with Leads and operators to implement continuous improvement ideas.
Supports production floor to identify process bottle necks, process defects, equipment inefficiencies and resolve issues quickly.
Supports Lead and Operators on daily operations including performing production operations when required.
Monitors manufacturing processes data collection and ensures consistent data collection and prepares data for analysis.
Monitors manufacturing builds throughout process to ensure quality product.
Creates/Modifies machine programs for all automated equipment.
Implements new manufacturing equipment to improve current processes.
Adjusts/calibrates manufacturing equipment to achieve desired results.
Repairs manufacturing equipment as required to keep manufacturing running.
What you need to succeed in this position:
Understanding of IPC-A-610 Class II & III as well as J-STD-001 Standards.
Experience with Lead-Free SMT and TH processes.
Experience programming various SMT and TH equipment; Panasonic preferred.
Ability to follow quality processes.
Ability to clearly communicate correct processes to others.
Strong organizational skills.
2+ years experience in a related field
High School Diploma - Required
BA or BS (college graduate) - Preferred Related Field
Technical Certification - Preferred
