The Manufacturing Production Technician assists in the completion of manufacturing projects within the area of assigned responsibility.
Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
Build product subassemblies or final assemblies.
Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
Prepare and assemble materials.
Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or protractors.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
Maintain production logs.
Maintain inventory of job materials.
Package finished products.
Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.
Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment.
Start up and shut down processing equipment.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Clean production equipment and work areas.
Install new equipment.
Measure and record data associated with operating equipment.
Provide advice or training to other technicians
Conduct environmental safety inspections in accordance with standard protocols to ensure production activities comply with environmental regulations or standards.
Separate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse, or environmentally sound disposal.

Required Education & Experience:
High school Diploma and 2 years related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
Follow Manufacturing Engineers direction while displaying cooperative and positive behavior with co-workers
Ability to develop and execute a detailed instruction plan.
Working knowledge of computer programs, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
Operate shop tools such as grinder, drill press,
Associate’s Degree in a Mechanical Technology and 2 years’ experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO 9001
Ability to use and understand general test equipment including tape measures, torque wrenches, Calipers, etc.
Sit/stand/walk 8 hrs./day
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
