We are looking for a full-time Front-End Engineer for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for developing rich web applications for our core Garmin.com website. Other essential functions include:
Developing rich web applications using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
Participating in the full lifecycle of development from conception, analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment, and use Garmin and Third Party Developer APIs to support innovative features for our customers
Working with developers across the globe on cutting edge technologies including React, Vue, GraphQL, Node.js, Cloud Foundry, Elasticsearch, HTML5 and much much more
Working in an Agile and CICD driven environment, delivering code to production daily, so you get to see what you build in action quickly
Working on platforms that interface with Garmin’s customer base
Focusing on ambitious goals and better ways to deliver experiences to the edge

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from a four-year college or university plus years of experience OR equivilant years of experience Other requirements include:
Expert knowledge of the JavaScript required
Experience developing rich web applications using JavaScript frameworks
Experience using Vue and Node is a huge plus
Experience using REST and AJAX
Strong HTML/CSS skills
Must possess relevant experience with web standards, usability, and accessibility principles
Experience talking to individuals that are not technical
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
