The Internet of Energy Engineer is responsible for leading the System control and monitoring infrastructure for DES deployments in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements utilizing DCentrIQ products and technology along with partner and other third party products to provide a comprehensive overall system design in such applications ranging from Utility scale to small commercial/large residential. This position requires close cooperation with the System Application Engineer and Systems Project Manager for optimal execution efficiency technically, financially and logistically. The ideal candidates must be proficient or the ability to become proficient in the following computer-based applications: MS Office/365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Skype), CRM (Salesforce preferred), Business System (Viewpoint/Power BI preferred).
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent
Experience: 3 or more years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role
Designing functional technology solutions.
Understand client needs to define system specifications.
Plan and design the structure of a technology solution.
Apply cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes.
Design, develop, and implement software integrations based on user feedback.
Integrate systems applications with client systems as required.
Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
Develop and maintain system design and troubleshooting documentation.
Establish and oversee system programming and HMI standardization effort.
Configure DCentrIQ client system solutions for proper performance.
Assist with solving technical problems when they arise.
Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.
Coordinate and lead ongoing client site operation, optimization and support efforts.
