Project Engineer and Project Manager

We are currently looking for Mechanical and Chemical Engineers for Project Engineering / Project Manager positions.
Project Engineer / Project Manager Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for engineering projects for industries served by the company: oil, gas, utilities, biopharmaceutical and/or manufacturing.
Lead entire team to bring projects to satisfactory completion, meeting goals for quality, schedule, budget and scope, through all phases (initiation, conceptual design, budgetary design, detailed design, construction, startup)
Build and maintain effective team spirit via sound management of immediate reports, typically project engineers, project control specialists, construction specialists, administration, etc.
Robust and effective work relationship with clients throughout their organization
Oversee Project Engineering by Project Engineer
Set up project execution plan, including startup tasks, BOD, communications, team member commitments to schedule/budget/scope and quality
Design work flow and all necessary details throughout all phases of design, from IFR, through IFP to IFC and as-builts
Deliverables: process flow diagrams, P&IDs, I&E drawings, ME drawings, C/S drawings, technical reports
Reporting – weekly, monthly, milestones, forecasts
Effective project meetings – agenda, note-taking, action item follow through
Change order initiation and management
Tight and well-communicated project control
Master schedule and buy-in by client and internal team members – accountability throughout organization
Just-in-time Project accounting. Reconcile monthly requests for payment, tracking of project profitability, etc.
Approve and track all submittals
Represent client to coordinate work of construction contractor, up and including actual field supervision if so specified in contract (field work done by construction superintendent)
Thorough safety compliance as required by clients
Maintain and keep current all construction documents (change orders, purchase orders, RFI’s, submittals, etc.).
Develop, maintain, communicate and perform weekly update of construction project schedules.
Resolve schedule conflicts between subcontractors, suppliers and service vendors to avoid delay or disruption.
Punch list – initiation, approvals, completion, communications, etc.
Close out all construction documents (change orders, purchase orders, RFI’s, submittals, etc.)
Business Development – as projects are executed, help develop clients for future opportunities
Continuous improvement/QA-QC: integrate lessons learned into normal company engineering workflow, assist in weaving the new methodology into work team routines, provide insight on how to do things better
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
Experience: 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General knowledge of commercial construction trades
Strong reading, writing, and personal communication skills
Ability to read, write, and understand contract language, contract drawings, and contract specifications
Strong ability to plan
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic skills in project scheduling using Microsoft Project or equivalent

Able to work comfortably in typical environments, including oil refineries, petrochemical plants, clean rooms, noisy manufacturing facilities, etc.
