We are looking for a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our experienced engineering team to help lead the mechanical practice. PEC’s clientele demands that we employ engineers capable of designing a variety of different types of projects.
Mechanical Engineers at PEC design the following types of projects:
Educational, Commercial, Industrial, Health Care, Government, Manufacturing, Retirement Communities, Military and Food Service.
Mechanical Engineers at PEC practice in the following areas:
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system design
Computerized analysis of heating and cooling loads
Energy analysis using computer modeling and comparison of life cycle costs
Verification of and compliance with energy standards
Indoor air quality
Air and water balance services
Infrastructure including central steam and chilled water system design
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited college.
Professional Engineering license.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
AutoCAD required and Revit skills desirable.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Candidate will design and engineer HVAC and plumbing systems.
Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects.
Evaluation of mechanical systems.
Report preparation and presentation to clients.
Project development and project management.
Coordination of staffing needs for projects.
Supervision of design and drafting staff.
