Provide leadership, direction and hands on involvement regarding quality, continuous improvement and problem solving in support of Policy Deployment objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the process improvement process including establishing targets for achieving the company’s quality objectives.
Drive quality related policy deployment objectives for their area.
Utilize statistical methods and root cause problem solving in analyzing quality issues and quality standards, including performing capability studies on processes/equipment.
Lead the resolution of customer complaints or field failures, developing solutions as appropriate to eliminate the recurrence of the issue
Support manufacturing operations
Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.
Set up and coordinate and/or facilitate improvement Material Review Board (MRB) project teams
Monitor and report on quality metrics and progress toward quality goals including, First Pass Yield (FPY), Warranty Failures, and Out of Box (OOB) failures. Lead the effort to improve metrics
Recommend test and inspection equipment as required to achieve quality goals
Lead ISO compliance for assigned areas and participate in the audit process for the entire organization
Manage Quality Technicians, including hiring, development and performance evaluation
Lead kaizen events
Other duties as assigned

Background and Skill Required:
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
3 years experience in quality planning, tools and analysis in a manufacturing environment OR 3 years experience in applied engineering
Knowledge of quality principles and tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, reliability, control charts and other quality methodologies) with the ability to train others
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes: milling, turning, sheet metal fabrication, powder coat painting, and electrical/mechanical assembly
Six sigma green belt or black belt certification
