CIVIL ENGINEER I
Department of Public Works
The City of Dover, (Dover, Delaware) is currently recruiting for the position of Civil Engineer I. The essential function of this position is to assist the Department of Public Works in the analysis, design, construction, inspection and maintenance of a variety of water, wastewater, transportation, stormwater and geotechnical projects.

Data and record keeping, system component analysis, miscellaneous field investigations, preparation of plans and specifications.
Subdivision/site plan review including water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation infrastructure.
Applicants who can be creative in delivering efficient services to the community we serve are highly desired.
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, architecture or closely related field.
Minimum of six (6) months of related experience preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products is required.
Must possess Fundamental of Engineering certification or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
Ability to organize, prioritize, work effectively and accurately
Listening, problem-solving and decision-making ability
Strong collaboration with all levels internal and external to the organization
