Unified Building Sciences & Engineering, Inc. (UBSE) is an engineering firm specializing in forensic and design services to insurance and adjusting companies, architects, attorneys, building management firms, and manufacturers. We are seeking a forensic structural engineer.
FORENSIC ENGINEER candidates must have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering. Duties will include performing evaluations, surveys, and investigations of buildings and other structures and preparing reports of findings. Additional duties may include research, analysis, and design for preparation of plans and details for remedial repairs.
EIT’s are also being considered for this position and 2021 graduates are encouraged to apply.
CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL candidates must have good general knowledge of various construction materials such as roofing, foundations, and structural framing. The successful candidate will work with structural engineers to conduct field evaluations and prepare reports of findings.
Fieldwork is primarily in the DFW area, but occasional overnight travel is required for both positions.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, climbing ladders, accessing building roofs, and working in all type of neighborhoods and environments is expected. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate investigation results are essential.
