As an API 653 Inspector you will perform visual and non-destructive examination for storage tanks in accordance with the API (American Petroleum Institute) and STI (Steel Tank Institute) standards. Provide reports with technical recommendations for repairs and monitoring necessary to restore the integrity of storage tanks per the standards and/or maintain integrity until the next inspection.
Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting the condition of storage tanks.
Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client.
Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues.
Provide technical guidance, on an application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives.
At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of storage tanks during construction or major repairs in accordance with API and STI.

High School Diploma
Three (3) years or more of data management experience
API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector certification
In-depth working knowledge of API RP 571, API RP 575, API RP 577, API STD 650, API RP 651, API RP 652, API STD 653, ASME Section V (Articles 1, 2, 6, 7, 23), ASME Section IX (Welding)
STI authorized SP001 Aboveground Storage Tank System Inspector
Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
Certificate of Completion in accordance with FT&V 2007-1 a plus
ASNT MFL Level II a plus
ASNT UT Level II a plus
AWS CWI a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
