Prepare, evaluate and assure Reliability & Maintainability plans for MSFC programs & projects. Supports the development and assessment of FMEA/CIL and their ground-rules. Evaluate project documents related to reliability & maintainability to assure consistency and adequacy with overall project requirements. Perform, develop, and utilize any tools needed to assure that all applicable reliability & maintainability requirements are identified for MSFC programs and projects.
Preparing and participating in SwA metrics.
Preparing, evaluating, and providing assessments associated with the NASA Initiative for Software Assurance and with SMA/SwA documentation for the implementation of the SEI Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) (i.e. SA, Ols, etc.).
Position requires a competent communicator (verbal and written) with ability to work harmoniously and effectively with co-workers, Bastion management and all levels of customer personnel. Required to be regular in attendance (per agreed to work hours schedule), consistently punctual and be relied upon to successfully complete all assignments.
BS in Engineering Education required
5+ Years of Experience
Must be a US citizen
Must be able to pass a national agency check
Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate reliability technical data/analyses to management; the ability to interface effectively with hardware and systems engineers to develop comprehensive understanding of HLS hardware, operations, and performance; and the ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and integrate failure date with engineering judgment.
