McCarthy Engineering is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion.
Successful candidates are self-motivated and work effectively in team or individual situations. They have excellent communication skills and can handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
Must have strong knowledge of the technical aspects of HVAC engineering practice, plus solid leadership and communication skills
Leads, mentors, and encourages existing ME staff and development of Designer level staff on all of their responsibilities as well as coordinate with other disciplines on projects
Responsible for meeting the firm’s mechanical engineering quality levels on assigned projects
Assist in identifying and organizing requirements. Apply usability procedures and principles at project or product-line level or through customer input.
Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other artifacts.
Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce and iterate development plans.
Identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
Contribute to design standards and support design reuse.
Promote the reputation of the company through the technical quality of his/her work.
Possess thorough knowledge of all codes applicable to his/her discipline
Represent us professionally at all project-related meetings and inspections.
BSME, LEED accreditation with demonstrated proficiency in the design for commercial, industrial, health care, educational and religious buildings.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT and either Trane Trace or eQuest modeling software.
