Johns Manville Waterville, Ohio complex is looking for a Project Engineer to support plant operations. The purpose of the Project Engineer's role is to perform engineering work in operations, productions, construction, or maintenance environments. The Engineer will be responsible for design and scale up of manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, and tests manufactured products to maintain quality.
This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. This position is also responsible for meeting facility targets for safety, productivity and product quality. He/she will conduct effective problem solving and troubleshoot processes in order to develop corrective actions.

Support safety reviews of new equipment installations and changes to equipment
Plan, design and estimate time and cost, and oversee construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components
Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures
Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, and provide advice and/or solutions to issues
Develop, lead, support and implement plant expense and capital improvement projects
Work in combination with plant operations teams, JM Corporate Research and Development, and Division Engineering as required
Monitor activities of subcontracted technical services
Appropriately administer and apply plant and corporate policies
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with a minimum of 3 years of technical work experience in manufacturing
Experience using CAD
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong project management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Solid interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility: May be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds
Experience in training and imparting technical process requirements/knowledge to employees
Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience a plus
Knowledge of SAP systems
Knowledge of statistical analysis software
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated analytical and quality improvement ability
Demonstrated database decision making skills
