The primary responsibility of the Solutions Engineer is to design and automate applications, processes and reporting within the enterprise. By utilizing detailed technical requirements, reference architectures, complex data analysis and research, provide installation and support documents, test scripts, automation and reporting solutions as needed, across the globe.
This role requires strong partnership with local property IT resources to implement strategic technologies and timely resolution across all business units. There will be strong focus in the areas of automation scripting, Microsoft O365, Business Intelligence, process management, data classification, etc.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with property IT and 3rd party resources on solutions development and deployment. Consult on implementation of Office 365, Single Sign-On, Identity Management, MS Teams automation, SailPoint and Power BI on Microsoft, Linux, iSeries, and other environments
Lead automation efforts in global projects that could include “Infrastructure as code” and other required solutions. Create automation solutions that provide visibility/accountability on adherence to established standards and KPI’s via metrics reporting.
Develop and deploy automated processes and collections utilizing Python Power Shell and other languages for O365, Cisco, SQL, iSeries and other platforms
Collaborate with enterprise architects, application developers, consultants and vendors to analyze business requirements, business specific scenarios, best practices, and then document, define and script processes that meet the business needs of the enterprise and are aligned and consistent with enterprise IT strategies and plans.
Manage service/support needs with vendors, application support teams, and global internal teams through effective partnership, collaboration and communication.
Join forces with the broader IT security, risk and compliance organization to interpret policies and standards, ensuring policies and standards are properly followed by new and existing solutions. Maintain and define configuration as well as reporting standards.
Collaborate with other enterprise infrastructure teams to define standards and policies relevant to best practices, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify gaps, risks and issues and escalate to management accordingly.
Work with business IT owners to gather information needed for business application integration with solutions.
International business travel every quarter is required

21 years of age
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Preferred: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
5+ years of relevant work experience
Python, Power Shell and SSRS scripting experience required
SQL architecture and management, O365 and Azure deployment management and architecture in a hybrid environment
Demonstrated experience in:
Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies
Information Security technologies, markets, and vendors (firewall, intrusion detection, data loss prevention, assessment tools, encryption, PKI)
Planning highly resilient solution designs and technologies
Privacy legislation such as: HIPAA, COPPA, FCRA, GLB and GDPR
Translating verbose business plans and translate into technical requirements
Service and integration architecture design and deployment
Software interaction with databases such as DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL
Working knowledge of:
Multiple infrastructure/application technologies including, but not limited to: AS400 UNIX/LINUX Systems, Wintel Platforms, Converged and Hyperconverged technology stacks, Enterprise Data Strategies, Middleware, Web services, Containers, and Application development platforms
Design, planning, implementation and operational support for: Microsoft O365 Applications, Identity Access Management, and BI dashboards.
Identity strategies and application integrations including; LDAP, Kerberos, SAML
Network topologies, protocols and standards
Experience with Ansible or related technologies a plus
Compliance regulations such as: PCI, GLBA, SOX, GDPR
Business processes and basic corporate finance, management and accounting principles
UML modeling techniques and Business Process Modeling
Hospitality and gaming business processes and industry constraints (e.g., compliance)
TIBCO experience a plus
Ability to think strategically in a highly complex environment
Ability to lead, influence and mentor others
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
