We are looking for a new colleague in the Brake Controls Test Lab at our location in Livonia, Michigan.
Responsibilities
CV, DV, and PV Performance and Endurance/Durability Testing of Braking Components.
Make routine measurements, arithmetic computations, observes and records instrument readings and assists other technicians.
Perform work based primarily on established practices and variable sequence testing that may not be standardized and uses a variety of specifications and reference guides in selecting and adapting procedures.
Adapt to execute engineering requests with supervision and mentoring
Develop a background of knowledge and understanding of engineering practice based on ongoing substantial, training and acquired experience.
The test procedures require some experimental skill and judgment to achieve accurate and reproducible data.
Minimum pay = $20/hour
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of automotive braking systems preferred
Strong mechanical / electrical background
Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs
Report writing / data presentation experience
Flexible to changing work schedules and adjust to changes in daily assigned responsibilities
Able to adjust to a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work overtime/weekends as needed.
