Danfoss Editron globally engineers and manufactures power-dense, high-efficiency electric propulsion systems for the commercial truck, bus, automotive, marine and industrial markets. Editron also has an array of auxiliary products that include Generators, Integrated Drivetrain Systems, DC-DC Converters, Fuel Cell Compressor Systems and Aircraft AC Motors.

We currently seek the ideal Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team.


A Senior Electronics Engineer will design power electronics, and control circuits for Electric and Hybrid electric vehicles, including DC-DC converters, 3 phase motor drives, and AC inverters. The ideal candidate will take designs from concept into production; including design, documentation, design validation testing, debug, field return root cause failure analysis, corrective actions, and ECN preparation.

Most of the design work is for automotive applications, so experience in the release of automotive electronics is a plus. DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DFA work is just in a normal day’s activity. We are a very cross-functional organization that works hand in hand with our manufacturing team, so inter-departmental communication skills are very important.


BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Electronics
Analog and digital schematic design, PCB layout, testing and debugging experience
High volume manufacturing experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A minimum of 8 years related experience is needed for this position


MS in electronics or related field
Knowledge of motor control theory
Controls systems experience
Embedded Firmware experience
Design for ISO26262 Functional Safety Experience
Automotive Industry Experience with familiarity of the APQP process is a plus
