PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions servicing the Life Sciences sector, is looking for a Computer Engineer(s) or IT Specialist(s) for Puerto Rico office. This position will be located on the North East Side of Puerto Rico, in Carolina.
The Computer Engineer or IT Specialist will be responsible for the day to day activities supporting Data Analytics initiatives, using OSI-PI and Discoverant within the BioPharma production facilities.
Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Support Data Analytics initiatives.
Must have hands on experience with OSI-PI and Discoverant.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, when necessary on/off-shift and during weekends.
Perform System Administration tasks when necessary, including Backup/Restore, Security Configuration, Accounts Management for Multiple Systems.
Maintain documentation related to system administration tasks and procedures.
Understanding and experience with GMP regulations and guidelines such as FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR 211.68, and ISPE’s GAMP5.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Information Systems, or related science studies.
Positions available which require from One (1) to Three (3) + years related work experience including strong knowledge and hands-on experience with OSI-PI and Discoverant.
Required from 1 to3 years of IT experience.
Windows server administration experience in a domain environment.
Preferred but not necessary, experience with industry data collection standards (OPC, OSI PI, SCADA, MODBUS).
Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technology.
Hands-on experience with OSI-PI and Discoverant.
Desired Hard Skill Sets:
Knowledge of computer hardware and software and its related infrastructure components (i.e. networks) and/or operating environment identified in the assignment requirements.
Knowledge SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases.
Knowledge of Visual Basic and other languages scripting.
Knowledge of Alarm Management, Data Historian, OEE.
Proficient knowledge of computer system life cycle concepts and FDA regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11.
