WSP is currently initiating a search for a IT Systems Manager for our Federal Way, WA office. Overseas the smooth integration and operation of computer systems to support ongoing business efforts. Maintains awareness of new technologies that may be of benefit to the company. Contributes to the success of the company by ensuring that technology is applied appropriately to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Manages and maintains corporate computing systems, correcting malfunctions and ensuring good maintenance to minimize downtime. Assists with the day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance of end-user systems. Works closely with user community to acquire and distribute new hardware and software solutions. Ensures applicable systems maintain compliance with NIST 800-171 requirements for processing of Confidential Unclassified Information (CUI) and Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities -Applies experience with compliance and vulnerability scanning tools -Applies experience with RMF and NIST 800-171 and 800-53 -Applies knowledge of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) -Documents and keeps current all information security rules and policies -Performs risk analysis of tested and evaluated networks and systems -Integrates security processes and architectures to address information security issues and concerns -Advises and consults on project-related information security issues, control gates, and the security review processes in place -Provides advice and guidance on implementation of security measures for information systems to relate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information -Applies knowledge of incident reporting and response -Applies understanding of Network-Based Intrusion Detection Services and Intrusion Detection Services -Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks on short notice within established deadlines -Experience with auditing and certifying compliance of various systems (Windows, Network Devices and peripherals) -Ability to develop, implement and manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) related to IT infrastructure system -Evaluates and implements new technologies in support of company business needs. Ensures systems are properly backed up or replicated to Disaster Recovery location. -Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, if required, within a period deemed reasonable by the company
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
5-7 years related experience
Experience in operating and maintaining Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, Active Directory, Hyper-V, MacOS, SQL Server, Deltek, Nimble storage systems, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Backup Systems, Powershell, structured cabling systems, and network troubleshooting
Professional experience demonstrating the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees and contractors, to prepare reports and to communicate ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to proactively self-initiate and continually expand professional development of all necessary skillsets, as well as keep abreast of related emerging technologies that would be used from a wide variety of sources (i.e., self-paced online training, training materials, and some training courses as available).
Knowledge of NIST 800-171 and 800-53 compliance requirements.
Position also requires the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
