Drive and contribute to Amcor’s sustainability programs within the Healthcare segment, providing solutions valued by customers and driving profitable growth. Work will include research, applications development, materials enhancements and/or process improvement.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Apply an understanding of customer needs and internal technology capabilities to recommend, design, develop and implement products aligned to Amcor’s sustainability strategy.
Represent the company’s technical voice with internal stakeholders, customers and industry organizations.
Learn and stay apprised of externally relevant technology trends that may support Amcor’s sustainability strategy.
Drive the critical to quality specifications.
Leverage problem-solving skills and methodologies to drive the healthcare sustainability innovation road maps
Responsible for leading programs through the stage gate process.
Plan, execute and analyze production trials with Design of Experiment, Lean Six Sigma, and statistical analysis methodology.
Ensure proper documentation of work and contribute to knowledge library.
Protect Amcor Intellectual Property while meeting stakeholder needs with proper information sharing.
Leverage an understanding of material / polymer properties and equipment capability in order to advance the Healthcare Sustainability agenda.Use understanding of cross-functional connectivity of business processes to improve performance across the organization.
Continuously learn and share knowledge in order to advance capability across the organization.
Lead technical process developments in order to generate new technology and value to Amcor is the area of sustainability.
Engage with a global technical community for information sharing relevant to sustainability.
Collaborate with areas such as Advanced Technology, Materials, Engineering, Operations and Quality to resolve technical challenges supporting sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with others to generate new, workable ideas to contribute to filling the sustainability pipeline.
Contribute to, present and follow-up on research proposals.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU (Qualifications / Experience)
Undergraduate degree required. (Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science preferred).
2-5 years technical experience, preferably in an R&D role across multiple technical processes.
Experience leading product development projects including new technology implementation.
Demonstrated ability to leverage multiple technologies/processes to deliver value to the organization.Demonstrated ability applying tools within Project Management, Design of Experiment, Design for Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Analysis.
A passion for sustainability and delivering sustainable products to the market.
