The Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering support to the Ozark, AR motor plant within the Motion Business Area.
This position reports to
Production Development Manager
Improve and maintain a safe work environment. Serve as a technical resource for process improvement teams
Process improvements using Lean Flex-Flow and 6 Sigma principles. Establish standard work and shop practices
Creatively use available and developing technologies to improve manufacturing systems
Generate project approval justification and create formal capital asset requests
Execute turnkey projects from early design and development through on-site installation and implementation
Confer with engineers, production personnel, maintenance, and others to resolve production issues, machine problems or malfunctions
Must be able to work effectively with operators and other manufacturing support staff to solve problems and improve productivity
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required with 0-2 years of experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment or an engineering role is preferred.
Ability to work on off shifts and weekends as needed.
Project management and use of Gantt charts, critical path method, cost estimation and budgeting - preferred.
Solid technical writing skills.
Capital equipment justification experience is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks - preferred.
