Summary:
We are currently seeking a Summer 2020 intern on our product and process engineering team for our Washington Operations in Washington, PA.

Essential Functions:
A long-term (summer-long) project will be assigned to allow work on a subject with significant impact
Several intermediate (2-3 week) projects of immediate importance to the business.
Routine day-to-day activities.

Topics could include:
Improving process reliability
Improving product quality
Reducing costs
Data analysis
Reducing cycle time

The successful candidate will be assigned a mentor to guide their work throughout the summer. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will split time between office work and shop floor duties and will be made familiar with the inner working of a heavy industrial facility.

Role will include the opportunity to present their projects to the senior management of ATI-Flat Rolled Products at the end of their internship.

Requirements:
Currently attending accredited 4-year college with a major in an Engineering-related field.
Candidates must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA

Preferred Requirements:
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel).
Excellent analytical and Excel skills preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
