Essential Duties
· Review customer drawings and specifications in order to determine methods to evaluate and inspect product; recommend changes and improvements
· Develop resource and cost estimates for testing and inspection methods
· Analyze machining and assembly operations for quality risk, and implement manufacturing strategies to minimize defect creation
· Develop process controls for product validation
· Perform qualification tests on manufacturing and inspection equipment and implement improvements or changes as appropriate
· Perform technical design reviews of new potential products
· Collect, summarize and analyze data for the purpose of identifying and implementing quality and manufacturing improvements
· Develop statistical plans and utilize statistical data in the analysis of product qualifications and characteristics; utilize internal and customer software for product-specific applications
· Create technical reports for customers as necessary
· Perform problem solving activities in a scientific, data-based manner
